SELF REFLECTION: Be present for it ALL!

As I sit here thinking about the goodness of God, I find peace in His presence, comfort and promise. Today, I give myself rest and reflection.

God keeps showing me that it is more important than ever to stop and read the hard stuff. Like, the Lamentations of Jeremiah. It’s a difficult but a rewarding read. Judah and Jerusalem experienced a lot of discomfort and humiliation, because they refused to turn away from their sinful ways. It’s a reminder that regardless of what my family, neighbors and friends choose, that I have a choice too. It’s a reminder that I have to make the right decision for my salvation.

As I look around and think about how far I’ve come spiritually, and my physical journey through healing, God promised me restoration. I dare to second guess any of it. I’m present for all of it. It’s more critical now than ever to stand tall spiritually through the good, bad and the ugly in the flesh, while continuing to trust Him. I’m still learning to stand on the Word.

I’m going to cry out load. He gives the command in the Lamentations by Jeremiah.

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.”

The Lamentations of Jeremiah 2:19

He tells us to seek Him in all things. I’m grateful for the opportunity to seek Him another day. What about you?

Praise Him!

XOXO
